Intrax 12 simple rules and regulations for success
Being a participant in this program is both an honor and a big responsibility. As a Career Trainee you are required to follow Intrax J-1 rules and regulations. These rules and regulations are clearly stated in the Intrax Training Terms and Conditions you signed when enrolling in the program.
Following these simple rules and regulations will help ensure your success on the Intrax Training Program. However, failure to follow these rules and regulations will result in termination from the program and future difficulties obtaining visas to the USA.
- Rule 1 - Apply for your visa using the information provided by your local representative and the information enclosed in your Intrax Personalized DS-2019 Packet. Inform your local representative immediately upon learning of visa approval or denial.
- Rule 2 - Submit your travel and housing information to your Host Company at least 2 weeks prior to arrival or risk losing your visa. Plan to arrive a few days prior to your Training start date.
- Rule 3 - Bring important documents: passport with valid J-1 trainee visa, DS-2019, Intrax Identification Card AND make copies of all your documents.
- Rule 4 - Bring $1000 USD in travelers' checks or access in the form of a credit card with you on the plane- this does not include additional money needed for transportation and accommodation.
- Rule 5 - Check-In with Intrax within 7 days of your arrival by visiting http://www.experienceintrax.com/participants/ict-checkin and completing the necessary Check-In procedures. Failure to do this will result in dismissal from the program. Dismissal from the Intrax Training Program means that you will be out of status on the program, you will not have health insurance, your status will be terminated in the SEVIS system, you must leave the country immediately and you will face future difficulties whenever trying to obtain a visa to the U.S.
- Rule 6 - Apply for your Social Security Card as soon as you complete the required Check-In procedures. Obtain a receipt/letter of application from the Social Security Officer.
- Rule 7 - If you change your U.S. living address you must immediately inform Intrax Training via phone or email. Failure to do this will result in dismissal from the program.
- Rule 8 - Make sure you complete your tax documents carefully to assure that you do not pay too much tax. Follow the information provided in your Intrax Personalized DS-2019 Packet and this Participant Handbook.
- Rule 9 - Report to the Host Company listed on the U.S. address section of your DS-2019 form. Failure to do this will result in dismissal from the program. You must remain at the Host Company listed on your Internship Plan. Only under rare circumstances are participants given permission to change their Internship location. Permission for a change of placement must be given by an Intrax representative and a fee will apply. Remember: Certain placements require that participants live and remain at the housing provided by that placement. If you have enrolled for one of the placements that include housing, please be aware that you will not be able to change your accommodations.
- Rule 10 - Keep a positive attitude and have a great time!
