Intrax 10 simple rules and regulations for success
Being a participant in this program, along with being a huge honor, is also a very big responsibility. As a Work Travel participant you are required to follow Intrax Work Travel J-1 rules and regulations. These rules and regulations are clearly stated in the Intrax Work Travel Terms and Conditions you signed when enrolling in the program.
Failure to follow these rules and regulations will result in termination from the program and future difficulties obtaining visas to the USA On the other hand, following these simple rules and regulations will help assure your success on the Work Travel Program.
- Rule 1 - Apply for your visa using the information provided by your local representative and the information enclosed in your Intrax Personalized DS-2019 Packet. Inform your local representative immediately upon learning of visa approval or denial.
- Rule 2 - Have your local representative submit your travel and housing information 2 weeks prior to arrival or risk losing your visa. Plan to arrive a few days prior to your job start date.
- Rule 3 - Bring important documents: passport with valid J1 Work Travel visa, DS-2019, Intrax Work Travel Identification Card AND make copies of all your documents.
- Rule 4 - Bring $1000 in cash or travelers' checks with you on the plane - this does not include additional money needed for transportation and accommodation.
- Rule 5 - Check-In with Intrax Work Travel immediately upon arrival by completing the online form (www.experienceintrax.com). Failure to do this will result in dismissal from the program. Dismissal from the Work Travel Program means that you will be out of status on the program, you will no longer have health insurance, your visa will be cancelled, you must leave the country immediately and you will face future difficulties trying to obtain any visa to the USA
- Rule 6 - Apply for your Social Security Card 48 hours after you complete your check-in with Intrax. Obtain a receipt of the application from the Social Security Officer.
- Rule 7 - If you change your U.S. address you must inform Intrax Work Travel via telephone or email. Failure to do this will result in dismissal from the program.
- Rule 8 - Make sure you complete your tax documents carefully to ensure that you don't pay too much tax. Follow the information provided in your Intrax Personalized DS-2019 Packet and your Participant Handbook.
- Rule 9 - Report to the employer listed on USA address section of your DS-2019 form. If you wish to change your employer or your housing you must contact Intrax Work Travel immediately to obtain the necessary approval, instructions and paperwork. Permission to change your employer or housing must be given by an Intrax Work Travel representative and is granted only after thorough review. Failure to do this may result in dismissal from the program.
- Rule 10 - Keep a POSITIVE attitude and have a GREAT time.
