Instead of just visiting the USA as a tourist, why not immerse yourself fully in American life through a paid summer work experience? The Work Travel program gives you the opportunity to spend up to 4 months working and traveling in the USA during your summer vacation.

While working at a great American company, you'll earn money to cover your expenses, meet new friends, improve your English skills, and gain valuable international work experience. After your job is complete, you can spend the last month of the program traveling throughout the US, discovering all the beauty and excitement this vast country has to offer.

Work Travel Program Options

Intrax offers you two ways to participate in the Work Travel program. You may choose a summer job from a list at your local representative's office (Premium Program), or you can find your own job, and have us confirm it for you (Independent Program).

Premium Work Travel Program

The Premium Work Travel Program is designed to make it easier for you to connect with host companies who are seeking International staff. The Intrax team works closely with you and the host companies to ensure that you are placed in a job where you will gain the full benefit of our program, and that host companies have seasonal workers who meet their particular needs.

What is included in the Premium Work Travel Program?

Independent Work Travel Program

The Independent Work Travel Program allows you to secure your own job with a company in the USA.

The key benefit of the Independent Placement Service is that you can find your own job in the company and location of your choosing.

According to the U.S. Department of State regulations for the program, jobs cannot be as a domestic worker in a household, a childcare provider, a camp counselor or any job that requires you to invest your own funds for the purpose of door-to-door sales.

Intrax confirms each Independent job to ensure it meets the criteria of the U.S. Department of State regulations and reserves the right to decline a host company that does not meet the Department of State or Intrax's own internal requirements.

What's included in the Independent Work Travel Program?

How it Works

  1. You contact an Intrax Work Travel representative for program information and a screening interview
  2. After the interview, the representative will show you complete descriptions of available jobs that meet your needs and qualifications
  3. You select a Premium job and sign an agreement to accept it, or you arrange your own Independent job
  4. An Intrax Work Travel representative will schedule another interview with you to ensure you meet the particular requirements for your Premium job; we confirm your placement and eligibility for Independent jobs
  5. We collect all documents and fees for submission
  6. We assist you with your visa application
  7. We provide you with support and pre-departure orientation before you leave for the USA
